WCTA Rolls Out New Ford Transit Vans to Improve Community Mobility
Westmoreland County Transit Authority (WCTA) is rolling out a fresh fleet of Ford Transit vans to ensure that they continue to deliver safe, comfortable, and reliable rides for the community. These 12-seat vans will replace older vehicles, making it easier for people to get around the region with better accessibility, smoother rides, and more reliable service.
State transportation grants funded the new vans, so there is no extra cost to local communities. This investment allows riders to benefit from safe, efficient transit options as WCTA continues to manage public resources responsibly.
The new Ford Transits have been designed with passenger safety and convenience in mind. Advanced safety features, better fuel efficiency, and a more comfortable interior mean riders can expect a higher-quality experience on every trip. The smaller size of these vehicles also allows for more flexible routing, helping WCTA better serve neighborhoods and destinations that benefit from nimble, on-demand mobility solutions.
WCTA takes pride in keeping their system dependable and their passengers safe. Updating their fleet is one of the many ways they continue to honor that commitment. These new vans represent progress, investment in the community, and the ongoing mission to provide reliable transportation for everyone who depends on them.
