Yoga Flow announces New South Hills Studio

Yoga Flow, the region’s premier hot yoga studio, has announced that its fourth location will open in the South Hills in April, at 1746 North Highland Street in the Upper St. Clair section of Pittsburgh. The new studio will offer hot yoga classes weekly and free unlimited classes for the public for the first two weeks, followed by three free classes for any new students after the first two weeks.

“Yoga Flow offers heated Vinyasa Flow yoga which focuses on warming up our bodies while moving through flow poses,” said Dominique Ponko, owner.  “Yoga strengthens the body and the mind, leading you to feel peaceful, grounded, invigorated and alive.  If you have never tried hot yoga before, we welcome you to come and experience it, regardless of your level of fitness.”

At Yoga Flow, the temperature of the studio is similar to the temperature of the human body and the heat helps warm muscles, prevent injury and allow a deeper progression in to a pose.  All classes are suitable for people looking to become healthier, better versions of themselves.

Yoga Flow offers three levels of yoga.  The beginner’s class breaks down the poses and teaches proper breathing techniques.  The all levels class combines beginners and more seasoned yogis, building on the fundamentals learned in the beginner class by incorporating more advanced poses.  The third class, an hour of power, is a faster paced class with less instruction and a focus on strengthening the body while maintaining proper breathing.

In addition to classes, the studio will offer workshops, retreats, teacher training and special events like drum workshops.  The studio includes a boutique which sells products such as lulumon clothing, Silver Sport mats/towels and other accessories.  Anyone interested in attending a free class can check the schedule during the second week of March at www.yogaflowpittsburgh.com; Space will be limited to allow for the comfort of students.  Mats can be rented and a variety of payment options are offered including student discounts.
